Supply chain and logistics stars have just one week left to submit nominations for the Smart Awards, hosted by Smart Conference & Expo.

Entries close this Sunday 24 March at 5pm for the five award categories, which include Manufacturing Supply Chains; Supply Chain Management And Distribution; Transport And Logistics; Procurement; and Event, Humanitarian Or Military Logistics.

All major industry associations are involved in judging the prestigious Smart Awards, making them unique in Australasia and a highly respected accolade for the individuals and organisations that receive them.

Smart Awards chair Allan Murray said the awards were designed to recognise professionals in all cross-sections of the supply chain industry.

"The awards are open to all Australian organisations or individuals that can demonstrate excellence and significant achievement in the supply chain.

"Judges will place emphasis on the achievement of objectives; innovation or use of unique concepts; the benefits or contribution to the industry, economy or environment; and the speed, communication, integration and execution of the project," said Mr Murray.

Submissions will be assessed according to structured criteria for each award category, and the awards committee will assess the validity and award potential on the content of the nomination.

Winners of the Smart Awards will be honoured at the Smart Supply Chain Dinner in Sydney on June 27, 2013.

The awards will be the culminating event of Smart 2013, which will bring together more than 900 leading supply chain and logistics practitioners to hear from over 100 local and international speakers at Sydney Convention & Exhibition Centre.
