Australian Nissan 370Z prices have been slashed by up to $12,960, with the sports car range starting at $59,990 driveaway for a limited time.

Covering both Nissan 370Z coupe and roadster body styles, the cuts see the entry-level six-speed manual coupe drop $12,960 to $56,930 – or $59,990 driveway until Dec 31.

The seven-speed automatic coupe matches the manual’s price reduction, now starting at $59,930, with the roadster manual and automatic both $10,960 cheaper at $65,930 and $68,930 respectively.

The price cuts once again position the Nissan 370Z below the entry-level Infiniti G37 GT Premium coupe – with which it shares its V6 engine and basic underpinnings – after an $11,500 price cut announced in September reduced the luxury model to $64,400, or $5490 cheaper than the Z.

Launched in Australia in 2009, sales of the 245kW/363Nm 3.7-litre V6-powered Nissan 370Z are down 22 per cent so far this year to 290.

Nissan has previously confirmed it will reveal an all-new sports car at next week’s Tokyo motor show, aimed to sit alongside the 370Z and GT-R. A 370Z Nismo is also tipped for a potential upcoming local arrival.
