US-based CamelBak introduced eddy Glass, the newest addition to its water bottle collection.

The eddy Glass was born out of expectations of consumers using the company's products, to address the need of one-handed, spill-proof access to hydration in a glass bottle that is reusable, taste neutral and dishwasher safe.

CamelBak product management director Jon Austen said they understand that different consumers have different preferences regarding their reusable water bottles.

"Some consumers just prefer to drink out of glass, and we wanted to give people this option while still providing the benefit of CamelBak's spill-proof Bite Valve, which has been proven to help people drink more water," Austen said.

CamelBak integrated the redesigned and re-engineered eddy cap technology with a silicone sleeve. By incorporating a larger straw, it delivers improved flow rate, and its shielded vent valve helps protect against dirt and leaks.

It is available in four different sleeve colors, including Aqua, Purple, Lime and Charcoal and is available across the US with retail prices of $25.

CamelBak, founded in 1989, is a provider in personal hydration gear, and is owned by Compass Diversified Holdings. It also offers products including technical hydration packs to reusable bottles and individual UV purification systems.
